valentine's day cards for wife girlfriend

Hello Valentine's Day

Valentine’s day cards are back again. Yes, it’s already that time of year once more. Christmas is a distant memory along with countless failed attempts of New Year resolutions. All other greeting cards are on the back burner in the chilly month of February. This month is all about love, cupid and romance. Love it or loathe it, Valentine's Day (also called Saint Valentine's Day or the Feast of Saint Valentine) is celebrated annually on 14th February. Originating as a Western Christian feast day honouring one or two early saints named 'Valentinus', Valentine's Day is recognised as a significant cultural, religious, and commercial celebration of romance and romantic love in many regions around the world.

Some may say that Valentine’s Day is just another day for retailers to rake it in, but for me, despite being a fan of the benefits it can have as a retailer in the greeting card industry, I don’t see any harm in dedicating a whole day to LOVE. Do you? Surely there are worst things a day could be dedicated to? And Valentine’s day cards are a simple way of showing someone a bit of affection. Adding a touch of thoughtfulness and love to that special someone’s day. In our opinion that can only be a positive thing.

We Love Valentine’s day

Valentine’s Day is one of my most favourite occasions on the greeting card calendar as I enjoy the playfulness and fun in designing cards covering as many different styles as possible. I love the creativity it allows and especially with it being a loving subject. Love is all you need after all and in my opinion a little bit of love goes a long way.

A Bit Too Rude Maybe?

Rude Valentine’s day cards are most definitely on the up, and as much as I enjoy a good chuckle at the levels of mischief some clever designers go to, things have to be kept relatively on brand here at Too Wordy and that’s clean as a whistle! Although, I pushed the boat out with our ‘My Bits Love Your Bits’ Valentine’s Day card and it’s proven to be one of my most popular designs to date.

Valentine's Day Card for husband

If you’re looking for something sweet and sentimental our ‘Let’s Grow Old Together’ Valentine’s Day Card and ‘Every Inch of Me Loves Every Inch of You’ Valentine’s Day card are two of our bestsellers and have been top of the Valentine’s Day Charts.

If you don’t like any messing about and just want to get straight to the point with a touch of humour our ‘I Like Us’ Valentine’s Day Card and ‘I Like Your Face’ Valentine’s Day card are just the ticket.

I prefer just a simple card which on the upper side sketch a little heart and written down some heart touching words on it.
